Great Question Rebekah! I think the best college is the one that makes the most sense for you. This can be determined based on class size, cost, and proximity.
The first thing I would recommend is asking yourself if you want to be remote or in person. After determining how you want to attend your classes, you will want to think about the class size. When I first started touring colleges, I didn't really think too much about how many students per teacher but as it turns out it does matter! I preferred a smaller teacher to student ratio but its totally up to you!
From my research, most colleges offer a biomedical engineering program so ultimately it will come down to what you are looking for in terms of the other things!

What a fantastic question! It's actually quite essential to consider more than just external rankings, since some exceptional institutions, like the University of Minnesota, may not always appear at the top. The Mayo Clinic, for example, is the number one hospital in the US. So, I encourage you to first explore local options if you're interested in this field, and examine the degrees offered within Biomedical areas.
Moreover, it's a great idea to identify medical companies in your area or places you might be interested in, as you may have a chance to connect with professionals and learn which schools these companies actively recruit from. Take my experience as an example: I work for Medtronic in Minneapolis, and we heavily recruit from the University of Minnesota and Madison University Wisconsin because both institutions have outstanding Biomedical departments.
So, keep an open mind, converse with those in the industry, and you'll soon discover the path that's right for you. Best of luck!
