Hi, Charlie,
Cosmetology schools generally have employees that focus on helping graduates find jobs. If not already enrolled, I encourage speaking with them at the intended school for more information. And you will need to be licensed. All the best in your pursuits.

Hi Charlie,
Choosing your career after high school can be stressful, but if you are passionate about becoming a cosmetologist, there are a few routes you can take if you decide to go down that path. It all depends on what type of work you like. A very good friend did makeup and hair on movie and photo shoots and wedding makeup and hair. That was her every week job that paid the bills. That will be unique work, but you also have the option to rent a chair at a salon to cut hair and work that way. It all depends on what path you want to travel down and your interests.
Also, feel free to get a job and do cosmetology while exploring what you want to do with your life.
