What kinds of careers combine biology and chemistry and what are they like?

Great question David, I don't know if you have ever looked into the agricultural industry or not. But the science and technology in this industry over the next 20-30 years is only going to increase as the need to feed people is increasing. I would look toward some of the bigger companies out there the Monsanto's of the world they should have some good information on career possibilities.

A lot of careers combine biology and chemistry, the two subjects are in fact very closely related.


You could go the researcher path working in academics or an industry setting, you could be a part of the medical profession.


It would boil down to what areas you are keen to focus on. eg: would you like to work on developing diagnostics, do you like chemical synthesis, would you like to work on biological systems etc
