Hey there! If you're considering a career in the medical field, it's great to look for schools that offer activities giving you hands-on healthcare experience. To find these, simply search for the school's health-related fairs or events. While it's important to choose a good college, what matters more is focusing on the medical or health professional schools and their specific requirements (like academics, work experience, average MCAT/PCAT/and so on scores). You'll want to make sure the college you pick will effectively prepare you for applying to your dream medical school. Good luck and have fun! 😊
Look on social media for students who went to the medical school you want to go to, and see what colleges they went to.
Call the potential medical schools and set up advisory meetings to learn how to prepare best for medical school.

First, if you truly excel in your college coursework then you will have a good chance at being admitted to medical school no matter where you've gone to college. Diving deeper though, the best way to approach this may be to work backwards and think about medical schools. If there is a specific or an example medical school that you would wish to attend then you can investigate where its students went to college. If you are thinking outside of medical school for other aspects of the medical field, the most important consideration will be how much exposure to a healthcare setting you can get while you're at that college. Does the university have a medical center? If not, is there one or multiple medical centers nearby? Are there programs through the undergraduate program that will have you volunteering, shadowing, or working in the hospital or office settings?
Personally I went to Notre Dame, but my medical school classmates were from colleges all across the country. Although doing extremely well at a college with a strong reputation is the ideal scenario, it is most important that you do well in college and on the MCAT, more so than the college being one of the top.
These are questions and considerations that you should ask during your college search directly to the colleges, whether during in person visits or remotely. You should ask directly
1) What opportunities are available for students who want to work in a healthcare setting?
2) Are their health related volunteering activities available in the area?
3) How successful are graduates of _____ at getting into medical school? Which medical schools have they attended?
4) Are there any resources in place specifically designed for premed students?
Hope this helps!
Ask college admissions reps questions about opportunities in healthcare
Seek out a college where you are likely to do well, not just a name
Ask about students from each college attending medical school - how many, where, how difficult
