It's really interesting that you want to save money for your college by yourself. You can join a restaurant or a hotel or a fast food chain for preliminary work like cleaning tables and dishes, billing, pre preparation tasks, etc.
Food service management is insane from inside and my advice to you is join a fine dining restaurant as a part timer. There you will get the exposure of culinary art inevitably and work experience in working fine dining restaurant will also be a boon for your resume. You can also do internship on part time basis there.
Earn more , spend less, try to save and learn simultaneously. Just enjoy your life.
