If I'm already working in the pharmaceutical industry (regulatory affairs) and have a background in research, is it necessary to get a PhD degree if I want to continue my career in research or I the chances to relocate in my company with Master degree are higher? What would you recommend?

Hello Mar,
Congrats on your career journey so far! Regulatory affairs is very strong card to hold when looking to bolster your experience in research. If you are looking to move more into the technical areas of research, then it will definitely benefit you to pursue a graduate level degree. Many job levels, especially at the larger pharma companies, require higher degrees when you start to reach pursuits at higher levels in the organization and will most certainly lead to more opportunities for higher wages. Even if you were to attain a graduate degree but remain in the regulatory space, this will help you nonetheless as leadership positions in RA are often benefitted by being able to converse and understand the technical aspects of the drug development side, especially when interacting with Health Authorities.
Best of luck to you!

Hello, Mar! I hope everything is going well for you, and it's fantastic that you're already pursuing your career. In my view, if you want to advance in your research career or explore opportunities to relocate within your company with a Master's degree or higher, then I encourage you to go for it. Knowledge is truly empowering. The more you learn, the greater your chances for improved job prospects, leading to better wages, benefits, and increased pay thanks to your Ph.D. If the door to greater success is open, seize the opportunity. Many people aren't even able to earn an Associate degree. Don't hold yourself back if there are no limits in your way.
I hope this advice is helpful.
Best wishes!
