I suggest that you check with a local community theater to get recommendations. Often, the staff/actors offer acting classes. Community colleges may provide acting and theater production courses/programs. I'm sure there are many acting instruction videos on YouTube and helpful books on acting, as well.
Thank you so much, Doug!

Doug's recommendations are excellent. Keep in mind that being a skilled actor doesn't automatically make someone a great teacher. The saying "Those who can, do; those who can't, teach." doesn't make sense since teaching is regarded as an art form itself. Aim to find an instructor with both acting experience and evidence of their student's achievements. Best of luck!
Thanks for your encouragement!
