Fay’s Answer

I would start by looking into local hospital volunteer programs and/or getting training as a certified nursing assistant, phlebotomist, EMT, nurse's aide, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP-CPR as training to get these certifications show that you are serious about medicine and will make you feel more confident going forward as a physician (do some research on finding the cheapest ones) or getting the training on becoming a provider of those courses.

Fay recommends the following next steps:

Get a LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor, Indeed account and get your resume' filled out and start making connections. Follow and connect with companies, colleges, and people who have the career you're interested in learning about.
Take high school and college courses that meet your interests and are challenging.
Read news articles and career publications that are relevant to your business interests.
Join appropriate high school clubs and collegiate groups specific to your career interests

Larry’s Answer

I'm not sure you can get medical internships in high school but I do know that they have volunteer opportunities at most hospitals where you can observe different departments within the hospital.
