Why did you choose voice-acting?

Why did you choose voice-acting over other forms of acting, like film, tv, or stage. Are you able to perform multiple disciplines of acting or do you have to pick one and stick with it.

Theresa’s Answer

As far as voice acting: I started producing my own little video shorts and I decided to play out all of the characters. I did it for fun and spare time. I also did it because of my artist passion: doing anything artistic whenever I could to keep up the momentum (within myself).

Sophie’s Answer

I suspect if you asked 100 different actors you'd get 100 different answers to this question...
Actors I know have been keen to do whatever work they could get...
Some actors find themselves doing TV work and the idea of work in theatre is slightly daunting as it's live with no reshoots... Others love theatre and wouldn't actively seek TV or film work. And yet most actors would be lucky to be in a position to turn work down. I always understood that TV advertisements can be lucrative and that film and TV pays better than theatre but am sure it depends (which country, city, company, size of theatre, type of part etc).
Bear in mind for 10 famous actors in Hollywood there are tens of thousands who would be happy to get enough acting work to pay their bills.... Many actors also have jobs for the periods that they're "resting" between acting work... jobs as varied as call centre, customer care , retail or hospitality.
