How can I go further in my career?

To go further in your career you can ask your supervisors or co-workers for tips that can make you a better worker. You can also sit back and think about your own actions, and ask yourself, ''what can I do better?''

Talk to people who already work in the industry in your field for advice on the pros and cons also be willing to work in different locations this can also help you gain perspective on having a successful career seek out a mentor as well .

Great question and I think there are multiple ways to go further in your career.
You are correct in talking to your manager/supervisor and co-workers for tips. Talk with your boss about growth and long term opportunities. Ask them what you can do to help or take on more responsibility as a worker. This will show them your dedication and commitment.

I would also reach out to some of your senior co-workers or someone who has a job you want in the future. Ask them what they have done, any additional education or certifications, ask if you can shadow them and see what they do on a daily basis.

I think a lot of professionals are in your shoes and ask how to move up but do not actually act on it. Be vocal about your aspirations, volunteer and take on more responsibility with you job. Overtime managers and supervisors will see your actions and it will pay off.

This is a great question, Shelly. Always be open to accepting new challenges and opportunities to improve your skill set/knowledge. Share your knowledge and best practices with those around you to demonstrate your worth. Take advantage of continuing education courses that pertain to your career.
