That's a great question, Eric. For me, personally, I want to share and promote things that are inspiring and moving to me. When i see some piece of art that can communicate different ideas and allow us to see something differently, that really drives me to share it with other people so that more people may experience and appreciate it.
Art isn't just about something that looks cool or interesting (though that does help), it's about communicating ideas and getting people to see the world in different ways and think about things. Some people may see art as a frivolous thing that doesn't provide concrete benefits, but it can inspire change and discussion in more creative ways.

Art is an extension of the human brain. It is a window to another area of our brains that excite our eyes, ears, mouths and noses. Sometimes we don't know WHY we like a particular food or painting or why watching ballet or listening to a certain piece of music makes us "feel" a certain way. The arts are geared specifically to make us feel. They can invoke feelings of sadness (like certain movies or songs) or they can make us feel happy or they can make us feel elation and excitement.
Promoting the arts is truly important for the world because it is a universal language that all humans share. Even some animals enjoy making art (elephants, great apes, dolphins). It is a way of expressing ourselves that goes beyond sheer language. So, that makes me feel passionate about not only promoting the arts, but involving myself in them! I love to play piano and bass guitar. I also sing, write a blog, am writing two books, enjoy the art of cooking as well as dining in other cultural restaurants. I design beautiful gardens and floral arrangements to share with the world and I also enjoy educating others!!
Best of luck with your studies.
