Look for programs that help place students in finance internships during the summer or possibly in breaks. Also look for job shadow opportunities, which will let you know about entry-level positions and the career path in the sponsoring company. Get involved in career clubs and attend career-related events at college to meet like-minded students and connect with people working in the field.

Hi Tianasia!
Choosing a finance career is truly exciting!
By deciding to major in finance, you've taken the first step towards a successful career in this field. Don't forget to make the most of your college's career services office or professional groups on campus, as they can help you find internships and full-time positions. These resources are incredibly valuable!
Additionally, you can explore websites like Google and LinkedIn to discover and apply for internship opportunities. Securing an internship in finance is an excellent way to gain experience and pave the way for your future career.
Wishing you the best of luck!

Depends on the industry. Big companies and banks hire and train new graduates both full time and as interns during the summer. Corporates, such as Pepsi, Google, etc., also like to hire people with experience. Finance teams supporting sales or products, accounting, IT, tend to hire those with experience in audit firms, such as Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers, etc. All (banks, companies, audit firms) hire students from national schools known for good Finance programs
Example: If the industry is concentrated in NY city, study in NYC to increase your chances

Hello Tia! Generally, having a foundation in a finance-related area is helpful for this career path. Beginners can start with degrees in Economics, Accounting, or Statistics. But don't worry, individuals from different backgrounds can also qualify for this job by obtaining a higher degree in Finance. Wishing you all the success!
