It sounds to me like you’re looking to step up to a bigger role in your family and in your community. Kudos to you! Not every 14 year old takes it upon themselves to do that.
As a 14 year old though, I’d say your primary responsibility is school and making sure you are learning all you can to prepare yourself for life ahead.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t look for secondary or additional responsibilities, when schoolwork allows it. First, ask your parents what you can do around the house that you haven’t done before. Maybe there are ongoing chores that you can start to do. Trust me, they’re going to love that you’re asking. Or, look around and see what things need to be done and check to make sure you can tackle them.
If you and your parents decide that getting an after school job is something you are ready and want to make time for, ask yourself what you like to do but also what skills you want to work on. What environment do you want to be around? At this point, it’s not about finding a career; it’s about trying different things and picking up skills along the way. And maybe getting some extra cash along the way.
Best of luck!

Hi Shay,
I love your question :)
This is a great time to start exploring your interests and learning how you are wired. You can start setting the foundation for a career path by gaining industry experience now even if it is simply side jobs in the industry/industries that sound(s) interesting to you.
Ask your high school if they offer career assessment tests. I always think that's a great start. Ask the counselor to walk you through your results and coach you on your skills, interests, values, and motivators. A career test is a great starting point but don't let the results dictate what you should do. Always be willing to try things that sound interesting to you. You may find something that sounds interesting or, by trying that path, you may find your actual path along the way.
To summarize:
1. See if you can take a career assessment test to gain a more clear picture of your skills, interests, values, and motivators to help you narrow down industries of interest.
2. Start getting hands-on experience in those industries even if you can't get experience in the job itself yet.
Good luck. You've got this :)

Hey Shay, it's fantastic to see young people like you displaying such maturity and responsibility at this age. Keep in mind that success isn't solely about money; it's about harnessing the power of knowledge. With knowledge on your side, nothing can stand in the way of your success, whether it's landing a great job or starting your own business. Books will become your closest allies, helping you avoid unnecessary distractions and keeping you out of trouble.
Now that you're 14, it's time to focus on your goals and start studying in-depth. When the day comes for your big interview, your knowledge will shine through, and you'll be well on your way to success. Wishing you the very best!

Based on your thoughts, dreams and aspirations, especially in your age, I can say that you are already successful. Keep dreaming big and finding greater opportunities.
In general, success is made up of efforts, consistency, hard work, and never quit mindset. Use every opportunity that comes your way: They may not be available later. Don't be afraid of failure: At least you will gain experience and will learn from them.
