Is it a good idea to go study in the US?
After I got a remote full time job(where I get my work done in about 20/30 hrs a week, but paid for 40) I was looking to go study in the US. Starting at Santa Monica college and then if needed transfer to UCLA, I want to work as an actor and writer in Hollywood but still have a good degree to fall back upon. So my plan was to double major in acting and a STEM career(like some engineering, since I am pretty good at math and physics having studied them at an Italian high school where I came from) Will this be a good idea? Will I be able to actually get hired in the US? will it be possible for me to start a acting career in LA this way(note I also already have a American accent and good proficiency in English), my biggest fear is not being able to find any jobs in the US and maybe if I stay here in Italy and get a degree here I will be able to get a secure job in Italy(even tho they ain’t paid good aka 40k year pretax as a ceiling, meaning that is the highest earning potential after years of experience). Tell me what you think
What are some good companies that hire entry level software engineers that don't follow whiteboard/leet code type questions as they are extremely hard and I freeze and don't know how to solve them. Any advice I don't want to do leet code, I have no desire to nor do I want to practice it...just being honest. What are some good ways to get experience having never had a job before?
I will be graduating coding bootcamp with MERN full stack (MongoDB, Expressjs, React, and Nodejs) as of Jan 24, 2025 and hoping to land a job ASAP?

Thank You for the Support—Need Help Writing an Email to My Professor?
Hi everyone, I just wanted to thank all of you who took the time to offer me advice and support on my last post about my struggles in Organic Chemistry. I’ve decided to reach out to my professor to explain my circumstances and ask for possible ways to bump my grade. This semester has been extremely challenging for me, both academically and personally, and I want to communicate that in my email while staying professional and respectful. My plan is to: Share briefly how this semester has been tough for me. Ask if there’s a possibility of doing an extra assignment or project to improve my grade. Politely request if she could review my tests to see if there’s any way I might earn back points. The issue is, I’m really struggling with how to start and structure the email. I want to sound professional but also sincere. Does anyone have tips or examples of a sample email I could use as a guide? I’d really appreciate the help! Thanks in advance for any advice, and thank you again for all the encouragement. It means a lot!

Exploring Career Options in Neuroscience?
Hi everyone, I’m a college student planning to go to med school and exploring career options. I’ve considered becoming a neurosurgeon, but I’m unsure if it’s the right fit since I’m not too comfortable with blood and surgeries. Are there any high-paying medical jobs in the neuroscience field that require med school but aren’t as surgery-focused? I might consider surgery later, but I’m exploring other paths for now. Thanks for any advice!

Hello! I am new to this website, and joined because it seemed so convenient. I am a Highschool student and finding the right career or job has proven a challenge for me. My interests for finding the perfect job are helping animals or helping families and the community. Does anyone have any suggestions to get me started on my journey?
I have a huge love for animals. I have a big interest of working at animal shelters and helping the pets with their basic needs, and help to find a forever home. I also have a very big heart when it comes to the less fortunate. I would like to help the homeless with needs and shelter, and give them a kinder life, as well as families who need help.

i curerntly have 4 on campus jobs. i get scholarships and grants. I barely make enough to pay for rent and tuition. should I get another on campus job or look for a job off campus? I do have access to a car but can barely afford gas most of the time.
also winter break is coming up and I currently don't have a way of making any extra money before the next semester. btw I'm a sophomore. I'm studying AS graphic design. I quit my 9-5 job of 10 years to go back to school to get a degree for a career change and struggling. I'm happy that we have a food pantry on campus that's very accessible.
