Hey there!
First suggestion if you want to be a vet is to be a people-person. I know this sounds contradictory but it's the truth. The more personable you are, the more clients are able to trust you with their pets. So get a customer-facing job early in life. The next suggestion is to be innovative, because there are things that may not be available and you need to be accustomed to thinking outside the box. Lastly, have a hobby or a love that is opposite of animals, especially your major in college. Don't major in science or biology, but go for accounting, business or art! Vet schools are looking for an eclectic mix of students with different interests who have a common ground of solid grades and work ethic. Also, don't go into vet med thinking you will be 'making money' because that is not the case right away. Good luck to you!
