Hey Serenity, that is a beautiful name you have. You picked an excellent career field that, I think, has a good future.

Any college or university would be good. To me, it doesn’t matter what college you go to. They all have the potential to teach you the same material.

Just make sure that if you take out student loans, that it is government student loans and not private loans. The government has beautiful repayment plans and student loan forgiveness programs, that have gotten even better now. You might not have to pay until you are done with school and what you pay back, can be based off of your income. When you are ready for that, ask your student loan servicer about the income base programs!

You’ll do great serenity, enjoy your time in college and be safe and good, and remember that JESUS loves you.

Priyansh’s Answer

Take a look at the school you might be interested in joining, considering your grades, SAT scores, and extracurricular activities. To help you remember, use an Excel spreadsheet or a Notes app to keep track of these details for future use.

Priyansh recommends the following next steps:

Make a list of safe, moderate and ambitious schools.
Check out their programs and the courses they offer, the program's summer internship offers, post undergrad job offers etc.
Identify the field of technology/computer science you would eventually like to work in.. whether it is Data/Software Engineering, AI, Computer Vision etc.
Check the programs which offer courses and experience matching your interest
Reach out to faculty members and email them asking about if there's something interesting they are working on and have positions open in their research team.. your enthusiasm might end up bagging a scholarship or Research Assistant position

Peter’s Answer

I recommend looking into the best computer science colleges in the country (such as those listed on US News). Some of these schools might be tough to get into or quite pricey, but they offer fantastic courses and top-notch professors. They'll truly challenge your mind and help pave the way for an early career (as long as you maintain good grades). However, it's crucial to know your own capabilities and how well you can thrive. College is the first step into a bigger world, so don't get too caught up in the allure of prestigious schools. Understanding how well you can succeed while attending college is equally important.
