Hi Julia,
I would ask yourself a couple of questions to understand the type of business you'd like to start.
1. What is something you would be happy continuing to learn even if it weren't successful?
- Selecting something that you are interested in enough to do even if it weren't successful will allow you to have more perseverance throughout the process of building a business.
2. What is something you feel is needed in your community
- The ultimate goal of any business is to meet the need of their target audience. If you know what need you'd like to solve for, that allows you to niche down your ideas to further meet the need.

Thank you for your question. I am glad to hear that you would like to start your own business and be a entrepreneur. Have you thought about what industry you would like to start your business?
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what industry you have interest or you have strength with
2. Do some analysis on the industry, e.g. entry criteria, competition status, any alternative / substitutes, etc.
3. Take some industry relevant and management courses
4. Work in the industry some time to understand the business model and establish people network
5. Start the business online if possible
6. Define 3- 5 years business development plan and break it down into smaller milestones. Review the progress regularly and make adjustments if necessary.
