Looking through magazines and online pictures may give you an idea of what designs you like. Make a collage of those you like with styles, text and color variations. Use these to start creating your own t-shirt or dress. Modify one of the designs slightly (color, style or other) to start creating your own style.
Once you collect a number of photos/styles you will begin to see some similarities of what you gravitate to. Start changing the ideas by using color, texture, style.
Some of the runway shows can also provide inspiration. Good luck to you!

Also have a look at what you’ve created before? Is there anything you could rework or expand upon. Inspiration can be everywhere…take photos when you’re out and about of anything that inspires you and see if you can use it…it could be anything colours, shapes, architecture, flowers…what ever you can think of

Hi JC! Studying fashion history throughout time would be very helpful to you, also looking at nature, animals. Your style will come from whatever you are drawn to, and what inspires you personally. If you like to use words on tee shirts or on clothing, you can look to music, poetry, the words of philosophers or quotes from famous people throughout history.

I know it's old fashioned but go to the library! Use the fashion, design and fashion history books as inspiration.
Also, as a designer, always look around you. Look at nature, the city buildings, the town you live in. Take random photos and try to put them into a mood board. Then design from that. Use the colors, shapes and textures around you.
It'll help you look at things differently and you'll really start to see inspiration all around. Ideas will come to you from all kinds of random places. You'll see a texture on the side of a building that will inspire you. Or the shape of a plant. You just have to practice that part of your mind.
