What is your motivation?
What is the best way to start doing and knowing what you really want to do? Is it a person you look up to or a desire to be who you want to be in life? What is the reason your still doing what your doing today?

Be sure to take a hard look at what it is that you enjoy doing. That or those things that bring you joy and tranquility in life apart from video games and other technology. Things that bring you a sense of accomplishment. If you can narrow down a couple of these things and build upon them, then you will never work a day in your life. Do not follow others because they may have a lifestyle, money, position which appears to be successful, because many times they have had to make sacrifices that have ruined families, hampered their independence, ethics as well as created dependence on maintaining a certain level of lifestyle. All that glitters is not gold. Develop those skills that you have a passion for. You can motivate an idiot and just end up with a motivated idiot. So focus on what you love and work it into a business or an effective contribution in an industry of your choice. Money will come and go when jobs come and go, but your passion will always help you survive with no regrets, surrounded by genuine associates/friends who also share your or similar passions. Live the life you love and love the life you live. Gods plan works!

Good question, Nevaeh! For me, I have several motivations - to learn (have a beginner's mindset), to serve others, to gain more expertise in my field, to make my family proud, to set an example to my son. Money of course is always a factor, but I consider that tablestakes for most people - we all need money to build a life.
I think what is my top motivation shifts over time, and depends on my current situation. By understanding your main motivators, that can help you with decisionmaking in your personal and professional life.
Hope this is helpful.

It basically came down to one element. Which is:
I found something that I loved to do so much, that even if they did not to pay me to do it, I would still do it anyway. Something that I had such a passion for, that I could not wait to get to the office in the morning. I was literally the first in the office, and the last to leave in the evening. The Japanese call it Ikigai, the people in Finland call it Sisu. This is what motivates me each day.
