What current options are there for me to intern for psychologists and/or psychiatrists in my area.?

As a 16 year old junior still in high school, I am interested in interning for a psychologist or psychiatrist in my area. I want to learn the field more in order to fuel my ambition for my own style of therapy.

So, first thing to do is just look up what's in your surrounding area. Search engines are great ways to find people in your area. Look at their websites, reviews, etc online. If you find places that sound interesting, look at their contact information. Many places these days have ways to call, email, and/or text directly on their sites. It may take some time, but the healthcare field rewards initiative. Don't be afraid to reach out, and expect some hard no's.

Good luck!

I wonder what you mean by "intern". I might suggest the term "volunteer" to indicate willingness to learn.

Internships are usually connected to a field of study that follows general/advanced education.

At 16, I appreciate your interest in the field and your desire to identify your niche...in order to get there, sequential learning takes place so you are prepared to offer something in a professional environment, in exchange for skills being honed.

Maybe study history and theories, join a discussion group, volunteer at some places and get a feel for how the work is done. Keep going with high school and take classes in humanities to expand your mind. You might investigate summer programs through recreation departments to see if they need hands-on help...applied psychology comes in many forms!
