Not at all. The prime question that is "easy" in civil engineering is admission into an engineering college! But if you don't have the ability for technical drawings, visualization, simple numbers, and basic math and geometry, and the necessary powers of research, you may find Civil engineering a difficult subject to study. The level of stress will alter but to be fair it is less the challenge and more the workload of engineering that gets to people.

if you prepare in HS by taking physics, chemistry and calculus it will help you get thru the first two years of college which are the weed out years...difficult but not impossible...then the last two years you take engineering courses.
Remember the first 2 years are the same for all engineering students.
Prepare in HS...then not difficult...but requires hard work.
