The most important thing is to pick a career that you can see yourself doing for 30 or more years and will make you happy. Then investigate this career which you can do several ways. Check with your school counselor when you return to school in the fall for help. In the meantime here's a website that is useful. https://www.bls.gov/ooh/. The other thing you should do is get involved. Colleges like a student that has more than just good grades and SAT scores. There are a variety of options. You can get a job or do volunteer work. Are there clubs, athletics you can join? The main thing is pick things you enjoy and remember to keep track of them so you're not trying to remember everything you do your senior year.

Understanding your future career path while still in high school can be challenging, so I recommend exploring various activities and programs that pique your interest. Colleges appreciate students who maintain good academic performance while engaging in extracurricular activities, as it demonstrates a well-balanced personality. Do you have a passion for sports, music, drama, or any clubs? Volunteering and part-time jobs can also be beneficial, providing discipline and valuable experience. If you're uncertain about your preferences, don't hesitate to try new things. You might stumble upon an activity that not only captivates you but also ignites a potential career interest, paving the way for your future.
