There are several ways to get noticed by colleges:
1. Good grades: Colleges are always looking for students who have a strong academic record.
2. Extracurricular activities: Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, and volunteering can help you stand out.
3. Standardized test scores: Good scores on standardized tests like the SAT and ACT can also help you get noticed by colleges.
4. Letters of recommendation: Strong letters of recommendation from teachers, coaches, or other adults who know you well can also help you get noticed by colleges.
5. Personal statement: Your personal statement is your chance to show colleges who you are as a person and why you would be a good fit for their school. Make sure to highlight your strengths, experiences, and goals.

Hi Jaden,
I would say that you can stand out in your essay by highlighting what you can bring to the program. This is often the unique elements of your life experience or hobbies that may seem unrelated to your chosen degree program. It can paint a picture of what you plan to do with the education that you will get from the school.
Example: Say you want to be teacher. Be specific on how you see yourself using a diploma in Education.
1, You could highlight that you are a creative person who likes to try new things from dancing to painting to music. And tie that back to education. "I love learning so much that I am always a student. In a real way, I understand what it takes to learn something new. I will have empathy for my students who may need me to teach them a subject in different ways to reach them."
2. You could highlight that your goal is to teach in a community similar to where you were raised. "In my life, I went to a high school where there was a large non-English speaking community. I want to be able to use my bilingual skills in conjunction with my education degree to help those that I saw didn't have the same help when I was in school."
You need to be authentic in how you see yourself benefitting from attending their school. This is also a good exercise on figuring out for yourself what you want from your college education.
