Hello Dalyla,
What an interesting question! Are you worried about burning out, getting tired, and not having enough time for yourself? This can be everybody's worry. It all comes down to finding a healthy and proper balance between our work and our personal time. Although, the type of job we choose for ourselves matters a lot. I think having one hour of real and good "fun" can outshine several hours of "not working" or doing nothing.
-As for me, first, I always try to find a job that I am passionate about. Something that wouldn't tire me much, and I wouldn't feel trapped in my workplace or even out of place among my colleagues. Such jobs automatically become fun and exciting, and I would be happy to start my daily duties because that's what I love to do. Although there are times that this option might not be available, I might need to start working based on my qualifications and availabilities.
-If that's the case and I am not skilled or experienced enough to go after my desired job, I try to change my perspective. I don't keep telling myself that I have a tiring job. I try to make it fun and engaging for myself. I learn about it more, get to know my workplace and colleagues better, and try to make it easier so I can also be productive, which gives me a good feeling and a sense of achievement that can take the tiredness of the long hours away.
-In my spare time, I disengage from my duties and try to experience something new, like learning a new skill, a new recipe, a new sport, hanging out with friends and family, visiting places that are not my usual hanging out spots, or just relaxing on the couch watching my favorite shows, and whenever is possible traveling with a backpack and visiting new places and new people.
I suggest you start preparing for a job you like and advance in, even if you need to start with other part-time jobs until you get ready to go after the job you value the most. Because otherwise, you might not get much satisfaction from what you do, which can lead to feeling extremely tired, bored, or even goalless. We become more motivated when we set long-term and short-term goals for ourselves. Therefore even if we can't spend extra money or afford so much free time to add some adventure to our life every often, we will not feel that all we do is work and nothing else. Simply reading a book we like can become so much fun.
I hope it was helpful, and I wish you a wonderful journey in your career.

I like your question! As for me, currently I like to play pickleball with my husband every morning outdoors. It's great exercise and keeps us healthy. I also like walking on trails, reading books and I consider all of my volunteer activities fun! I assist a Kindergarten teacher, serve meals to the homeless and host bingo nights for them, write articles for a couple of nonprofits and have my own website -- www.scatteringkindness.com
Having a balance between work and fun is important. There might be days when you have to forgo the fun for the work but that makes the fun even better.
With every good wish!
