Rules: Repetition, Break It Down, Understand the Context, Visualize, Use Mnemonics, Record and Listen, Act and React, Write It Down, Practice in Context, Consistency.
Remember that everyone’s learning style is different, so experiment with different techniques and find what works best for you. The more you immerse yourself in the character and the script, the easier it will be to remember and deliver your lines confidently on stage.

I appreciate this, thank you for the advice.

There is not one formula that works for everybody. You have to try them out and sometimes change them up. For me, I like (from the Meisner technique) associating what I say with what I do. Meaning, I think of the action I am doing and how/where I am moving as I say the next thing. That way, my brain remembers the lines as I move, and vice-versa. Everyone at one point has to do a lot of repetition. Especially if you have to be memorizing in a car, or on a bus, where you are sitting the whole time. More challenging ways but fun are, memorizing the lines backwards (from last to first), memorizing the first word (or letter) of each line first, and using memorization apps on your phone.
