Give some of these sites a try. A lot of them let you type in specific demographic information like race, intended major, where you're from, if you're a first generation college student, etc.
https://www.niche.com/colleges/scholarships
https://www.careeronestop.org/Toolkit/Training/find-scholarships.aspx
https://www.forbes.com/advisor/student-loans/best-scholarship-websites/
And here is an article that gives tips and tricks about getting scholarship and grant help. So many scholarships go unused each year - this breaks down how to track down scholarships you're highly likely to get.

I would check the foundation website of the college that you are or wish to attend.
Each college and university has an endowment fund that they utilize to support student scholarships.
They normally have a number of scholarships based on majors, future occupations, activities, ethnicities, and other subjects.
This might be a good option for future scholarships.

I'd say to look for local scholarships in your area! Based off your state, county, or city, there might be scholarships directly catered to people who live where you do, which means it would have a smaller entry pool and better chance of you being chosen!
If you have access to a counselor who can help you with the college application process, then they would be a good person to ask for resources.
Also, what are some pertinent identities to you? There are many scholarships catered to people of specific identities, whether that be gender, race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, first generation college student status, even scholarships for left-handed people!
Some legitimate websites that crowdsource scholarships are Niche Scholarships and College Board Scholarships.
Good luck in the search!

Sure, take a stroll around your neighborhood and check out your local shops. You'll find that many of them offer scholarship programs for young folks like you. Don't forget about the local churches too! They're often more than willing to lend a hand with school loans and tuition fees.

Hi Dede, Many corporations award scholarships to cover educational costs including tuition, room, board and books. For example, the Women of AT&T gave twenty-five $1000 scholarships to students earlier this summer. An application, transcript, and essay is required. I also suggest typing "scholarships offered by companies" in your web browser (like google) for a large number of opportunities. One important tip....when you write your essay, tell an engaging story about yourself. I serve on a scholarship committee and I have found that applicants who do that generally are selected or at least make it through the first round of cuts. Good luck!

Dede,
Great question! I partook in multiple scholarships in order to diminish my pay when going into college. I will say that that a tremendous beneficiary that helped me personally was looking into different clubs and organizations around where I lived. Most likely, these organizations would offer a scholarship that you would need to apply here. Various were indeed competitive, but with the right essay and information put into the many applications, they were a great help in me dwindling my bill within my college organization. For that very reason, I would recommend reaching out to various organizations around your town or city, and asking if scholarships are being released. It goes a long way, and you do not have to be apart of a sport organization either!
I hope this helped, and good luck in your endeavors!
Thank You

Hello Dede, the University's admissions website is typically a great place to start when looking for scholarship information. If you're still in high school, consider asking your college counselor to assist you in identifying scholarships that best align with your experience. Finally, don't hesitate to contact the University Admissions Office directly. They can provide guidance on where to find the most suitable scholarships for you.
