The medical field is a good career path. There is no reason not to follow that dream if you want to. As far as good jobs for high school students within the medical field, you can ask at local nursing homes if they have a certified nursing assistant training program that you can do during summer or winter break, look for a clerical role that may be available at a doctor's office or other medical practice, or look for customer service based positions because customer service will serve you well when dealing with patients in the medical field later.

This would all depend on if med school is within your time and budget. I’m sure you won’t have any trouble getting a medical related job when you’re graduated, but it’ll be more about the journey to graduate that will be the tricky part since of course, people like nurses and other medical related jobs are never something we have “too much of”
If you’re looking for entry level jobs that will give you good experience, then a customer service based job could be worth it. Yes it might be a bit stressful in those jobs, but you get good people skills, learn how to use a cash register, and just other stuff that will help you get other jobs whenever you leave that customer service job (that’s how it worked for me. Got my first retail job and never had an issue getting a job in that field since then). Freelancing is also a thing if you’re creative and such, but of course that’s not necessarily secure with money all the time.
Hope that helps and good luck.
