What type of internship would one look into if they were interested in becoming a psychologist?

I want to study and major in psychology and I am interested in finding an internship that could help me prepare for what is to come. However, this type of work is very confidential and I am having trouble finding where to go. #psychology #psychiatrist

I majored in psychology, and one thing that was helpful for me was shadowing a psychologist. What that means is that I spent several days at this person's office, sitting in on whatever meetings or sessions I could (as I mentioned, some are confidential) to get a sense of what the day-to-day activities are and whether or not I might like them.

As for internships, I did several as a research assistant in different labs to learn more about different ways of thinking about psychology and acquire hands-on skills. It sounds like you're more interested in the clinical side than the research side, but sometimes these opportunities are also available in clinical psychology.
