Hello Destin,
I would like to add that on LinkedIn you get to follow companies operating in a certain sector, like the petroleum industry in your case. This will help you keep up with the new intern openings within those companies, the needed requirements etc. Also, don't hesitate to connect with HR analysts as they're familiar with the recruitment process

Hello Destin,
There are plenty of petroleum companies in France, like Total who offer every year, around 1,000 work-study positions and 3,500 internships.
I advice you to connect on LinkedIn with people working as reservoir engineers and to ask them about the requirements to get in as an intern next summer.
You will find people like Camilo Alape - a current intern in the field and also Jeremy Pellegrino or Mathilde Didier, Reservoir Engineers at Total.
