That is a great question! You should try and start coming up with a list during your junior year! Look at colleges that will accept the GPA and SAT or ACT score you have. Work more on that list during the summer of your junior year. Hope that helps!

Hi Moriyah,

I think the best time to start looking at colleges would be your Junior year. The application process seems to sneak up on most kids the beginning of senior year. That is why if you start the year earlier you have that much more time to prepare and narrow down your search.

Put together a list with the things you feel would be important to you in your selection, if you have an idea of the field you want to pursue, and do you want to live on campus, things like that.

There are some great recourses online now like niche.com that will give you a lot of information on different colleges.
