Hello, Alharith !
I would be happy to support your interest in becoming a dentist ! You have chosen a very important and rewarding field of work to pursue. The way your question is worded can be taken a couple of ways, but I will assume that you mean you are probably of an older age than most students who enter dental school. Although you didn't state your age, I will make some assumptions as I advise you. If someone says that you shouldn't pursue dentistry you must ask them why they are saying that. Have them clarify what they mean and give examples.
All of the dentists that I know began their postgrad dental school at approximately the age of 22 or 23 years old. You can have a Bachelors degree in any subject and go to dental school. I would recommend having a Bachelor degree in one of the sciences, though. One of my past dentists has a Bachelors in History and she was an excellent dentist ! But it is a smart move for you to inquire about schools and I would be happy to support and help you with that.
The main college is the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Dentistry. A link to their information is provided below.
In closing, I just want to assure you that you should follow your dream and goal and not let anyone discourage you. As a dentist, you would be maintaining and improving people's health in such an important way. I wish you all the best in finding a good dental school and best wishes for an exciting academic experience !

The best college to pursue a career in dentistry will be one with strong biology and science curricula and opportunities to gain exposure to the field (internships, pre-professional clubs). While you can become a dentist at any age, many pursue it at an earlier age given the time and financial investment needed.
