Kylie to be a successful business woman you must be a visionary and be are able to spot opportunities. You'll need to have a clear idea of what you want to do inorder to be successful and have the ability to transform that vision into reality. Don’t shy away from the challenges, any fear or apprehensions, and focus on the sheer amount of work needed and you'll get things done.
FINANCIAL EXPERIENCE
Having financial knowledge is one of the most needed skills for a women business owner. It is something you should not outsource. Payroll, contracts, balance sheets, tax exemptions, and expense accounting may appear complex, but they are critical in any company. Understanding balance sheets will help you decide how much you can afford to spend. Keeping track of your business expenses or investments allows you to have a better idea of your ROI and make better business decisions.
COMMUNICATION & NEGOTIATIONS
These skills are essential in your day-to-day business operations. Excellent writing and oral communication skills are critical. They greatly improve how you talk about or present your business and help build lasting working relationships. Negotiations can occur daily with your suppliers, potential investors in your business, customers or even your employees. Thus, mastering how you communicate ensures your business has the best representation possible.
LEADERSHIP
Women business owners who employ people in their businesses will also need to learn to become better leaders. Leadership is an important skill for anyone that takes on a managerial role or owns a business. Leaders are responsible for instilling in employees the vision of each company and constantly motivating them to be productive.
TIME MANAGEMENT
A woman business owner’s ability to plan her day and manage her time is vital. You must know clearly what you need to do and have the capacity to multitask. Being a business owner will require many things to do from your side, like writing letters and emails, serving as the marketing director, or acting as the accountant. To not be overwhelmed, you need to have proper time management skills to prioritize your work and be able to delegate tasks to people you trust. Being a successful woman entrepreneur does not mean that you need to do everything yourself.
NETWORKING
As a business woman, you need to build a network of people relevant to your industry. At the same time, you should be aware of industry events happening in your city like symposiums, panel discussions, and exhibitions. Being up to date with what is happening in your community or industry allows you to get to know firsthand people who could prove beneficial to your business. Also, knowing people in key positions in government would make your life as a woman entrepreneur a little bit easier.
Even if you have all these skills, starting a business is never easy. However, mastering these essential skills could make the start-up of a business smoother for you. These skills will give you a better chance to see your company grow and succeed.
Hope this will be helpful Kylie

Hello Kylie,
I would say you need to find out how you can achieve your goals and accomplish as a business woman in the future. Your either hard and soft skills, and emotional intelligence can be one of the opportunities that you can practice in X company.
If you have volunteering, and/or internship, and/or part-time job experience(s), you may know how your soft and hard, and emotional intelligence works. I may not know your skills, and I cannot guess how many skills you have, so I cannot only give major skills you need to know. You can surf the internet, I must say you need to have;
Soft Skills
1- Commercial Awareness
2- Collaboration with others (for projects & presentation)
3- Leadership (if needed)
4- Oral and written communication skill
5- Teamwork
6- Time Management
7- Flexibility
Hard Skills
1- Proficiency in foreign Languages
2- Diploma and/or certificates
3- Computer Skills
4- Typing Speed (if needed)
5- Proofreading
6- Project & Risk Management (if needed)
7- Problem-solving
8- Budgeting
Emotional Intelligence
1- Empathy
2- Social Skills
3- Motivation
4- Self Regulation
5- Self Awareness
6- Decision-Making
Speaking of budgeting, your financial statues should be in balance; due to the fact that you may need to pay your fees and transportation, and needs in the future. Likewise, you need to look after yourself while budgeting. What I mean by that is that everyone should be yourself rather than be achiever all the time. Yet you should have a plan of your budgeting in advance. Take your advantage when you hear job announcements. Once you heard by someone or seen on the internet, you should check their requirments, hard and soft skills as well as emotional intelligence lists, and interests (if matches you). Once you matched with your skills with a job, you must pass all the requirements they have listed.
I hope this helps.
