Despite not having personal experience in this domain, if I were in your shoes, I'd definitely kick off by seeking guidance from a few seasoned real estate agents. They could share their journeys, provide valuable insights, and offer practical advice to help you make a strong start.

Consider exploring virtual professional groups on platforms like Meetup.com, or you can see if any local real estate agencies in North Carolina would allow you to do Q&A sessions with their agents. These steps would not only give you a broader understanding of the field, but also help you answer your pressing questions. Remember, every expert was once a beginner, and your enthusiasm to learn is the first step towards success.

Real Estate is so exiting! Deals, negotiations, talking with people, such a fun job. Best way to get started is to get your license. You can find a real estate school in your area/state and enroll. Typically this takes 4-6 months to complete. Then once you are done you can take your exam for the license. Once you pass, you will need to connect with an agency to start out. Some agencies include Keller Williams, Compass, and Berkshire. With them you will get great experience in how to sell, buy and client relations. The biggest thing about real estate is networking! Everybody could be a potential client. Then maybe one day you can set out on your own! Best part, you can start selling at 18! Good luck!

You can obtain a license though your state after completing a real estate license. I choose Multi-family because no license is required. I started at the bottom and worked my way though the position. It takes more time but I definitely have a full understanding. Otherwise you could sign up with Apartment Association of your state and they can lead the way.
