Hi Sam. I don't know what your situation is like, but if you're able to focus your energies on education, you'll increase your chances of landing a good job and being able to take care of yourself and your family. You want to be able to read and become good at learning things, so then you can teach yourself whatever you need. If you're young, you might not yet know what's possible for you to become. So pay attention to the people and professions and jobs that you come across. Ask people what's like to do what they do, ask them how you might be able to follow the same path. Maybe there are volunteering or internship opportunities where you can even try the jobs out for a while.

I like that you're focusing on taking care of people. Keep asking and listening to what people say. Then do what feels right. Do take that education bit seriously though, I really think it closes many many doors when education is not prioritized.

Rebecca’s Answer

Hi Sam, thank you for your question. I am delighted to hear that you would like to earn sufficient monies to take care of your family. Having said that, you may not need to get rich to take care of family. Healthy, Happiness, etc. are important and cannot exchange by monies.
The most important is to find out what you have interest. If you can a career you have interest, you can do it good and earn good money. Imagine that you work in a job you have no interest 8-10 hours a day, it is really a pain.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about your hobbies, favorite subjects ,etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you have interest in Maths, would you like to be an accountant, banker, engineer, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
If you like Music, would you like to be a singer, musician, musical actor, music producer, music composer, etc.
2. Explore more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the collge
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
