Marlyce’s Answer

Hello Lilyana,

Have you had a chance to reach out to the HR department or the manager yet? They're the ones who can provide you with an update on the hiring process. Remember, it's important to express your keen interest in the job to them. Keep going, you're doing great!

Agree with Marlyce. The person doing the hiring may have a stack of resumes and very little time to actually go through them. If you can swing by the store and introduce yourself to the manager, that could help you stand out. Getting a referral from someone who already works there could go a long way as well. Maybe you know someone who has a job there or know someone who knows someone.

It is OK to be proactive and not just wait to get a callback. Thinking good thoughts for you.

Michael’s Answer

I love the excitement!
I would absolutely agree that a little check-in might go a long way. I myself was a retail manager during my college years and there is just NO time to go through stacks and stacks of resumes. So someone that would come and engage, at least for me, always made a positive impression!
