Hi Daniel,
There are many different jobs in the field of law, you don't have to be a lawyer to work in the field. If you want to be a lawyer, the advice others have given about how to find a job is valuable, especially the importance of mentorship. And keep asking questions.
I went to law school and have not practiced law, I work for a corporation that sells products lawyers use every day. There are many different paths you can take.
Other careers in law, if being a lawyer isn't for you or you don't know if being a lawyer is for you, to consider:
- Paralegal or Legal Assistanto
- Court Reporter
- Court Interpreters (if you speak a language in addition to English)
- There are careers in social justice as well as law enforcement careers
If you can, take a look at these websites: https://www.themuse.com/advice/legal-jobs-non-lawyer-no-law-school
https://www.humanrightscareers.com/magazine/careers-in-social-justice-and-human-rights/
where there are descriptions of some of these jobs.

Are you on the hunt for job search platforms? Here are some you might find helpful:
- LinkedIn
- Indeed
- Lawjobs.com
- LawCrossing
- FindLaw.com
And don't forget about these too:
State and Local Bar Association Websites:
These websites often have their own job boards or career centers. They're great for finding legal job opportunities that are specific to your area.
Government Job Websites:
If you're drawn to legal roles within government agencies, you'll find that federal, state, and local government job websites usually have sections dedicated to legal job vacancies.
Law School Career Services:
For those of you who have recently graduated from law school or are currently studying law, your school's career services office can be a fantastic source of job listings and career guidance.

As the other answers point out - there are a number of internet job boards you can search for a job. There is, however, an often overlooked resource - networking! Your law school will have an alumni list. Contact some in your area and talk to them. They will know what is what and who is who. They may also be able to steer you ro a job not posted yet.
Looking for a job is not easy. I was rejected so often I thought everyone had a form letter prepared just to reject me! Key is - don't take the rejections personally. Call the ones who have rejected you and ask what you did wrong so you can learn from your mistakes and just keep plugging!
IN the mean time - keep checking the job boards. Bar Associations often post jobs. Keep pushing forward!
