How should I take more control over life?
There seems to be an unparalleled vision between me and the world. Contrasting values are prevalent in addition. I simply wanted to sail my own boat with fewer constraints.

Taking more control over your life and aligning it with your values and desires is a worthy pursuit. Here are some steps to help you navigate towards a more autonomous and fulfilling life:
1. **Self-Reflection:** Take time to reflect on your values, passions, and long-term goals. Understanding what truly matters to you is the first step toward living a more authentic life.
2. **Set Clear Goals:** Define specific, achievable goals for different aspects of your life, whether they're related to your career, relationships, personal growth, or hobbies. Having clear objectives provides direction.
3. **Prioritize Your Values:** Identify the values that are most important to you, and ensure that your choices and actions align with these values. This will help you make decisions that are in harmony with your authentic self.
4. **Take Responsibility:** Accept responsibility for your choices and their consequences. Embracing accountability empowers you to steer your life in the direction you desire.
5. **Learn to Say No:** Don't be afraid to say no to commitments, relationships, or activities that don't align with your goals or values. Setting boundaries is essential for maintaining control over your life.
6. **Continuous Learning:** Invest in your personal and professional development. Acquiring new skills and knowledge can provide more opportunities and autonomy.
7. **Financial Management:** Take control of your finances by budgeting, saving, and investing wisely. Financial stability can provide you with more choices and freedom.
8. **Time Management:** Efficiently manage your time to maximize productivity and create space for activities that bring you joy and fulfillment.
9. **Surround Yourself with Support:** Build a network of supportive friends and mentors who share your values and can provide guidance on your journey.
10. **Mindfulness and Self-Care:** Practice mindfulness and self-care to reduce stress and maintain emotional well-being. A healthy mind and body are essential for taking control of your life.
11. **Embrace Change:** Be open to change and adaptability. Life is full of unexpected twists, and the ability to adapt can help you stay in control even when faced with challenges.
12. **Seek Inspiration:** Find inspiration from books, podcasts, or role models who have taken control of their lives and followed their passions.
13. **Start Small:** Taking control doesn't require drastic changes overnight. Start with small, manageable steps that align with your goals and gradually build from there.
14. **Celebrate Achievements:** Celebrate your successes, no matter how small. Recognizing your achievements can boost your motivation and confidence.
15. **Stay Patient:** Remember that taking control of your life is a process that takes time. Be patient with yourself as you work toward your goals.
Taking control of your life is an ongoing journey, and it's perfectly normal to encounter challenges along the way. Stay committed to your values and vision, and continuously reassess and adjust your path as needed. By doing so, you can steer your own ship towards a life that reflects your unique desires and aspirations.

Hello JB,
You should balance your life and your academic or work career. Most weekdays and weekends are divided into days, and you can create your own to do list and timetable which you can track your progression. In terms of your progression, you should have a calendar to follow your daily, weekly plan/program, and you can spend your time with both your friends and family, and your work time in any company that you fit.
If you are stuck even this advice, please ask to a mentor or a coach, or even your friends who may have some advise for you.
I hope this helps.

Wow, what a thought-provoking query! Steering the course of one's life can indeed be a bit daunting, especially when the future is often shrouded in mystery. Life's unpredictable nature, coupled with external factors, can sometimes alter our life's trajectory. Your desire to take the reins of your life is quite normal; after all, who doesn't like to know where they're headed? Here are a few strategies you might find helpful:
1) Equip yourself with valuable knowledge. This will enable you to make informed decisions when the need arises.
2) Comprehend your circumstances fully - the tasks at hand, the advantages, the drawbacks - and then strategize to handle them as efficiently as possible.
3) Don't fret over achieving perfection in everything you undertake. Aim for excellence, and accept the results, however they turn out. Use these experiences as learning opportunities for future similar situations.
4) Remember, life is an exciting journey filled with unexpected twists and turns. Knowing the outcome in advance might rob you of the joy of navigating through these uncertainties. What truly matters is how you emerge at the end of it all. Cherish your journey, filled with friendships and joy. Sometimes, releasing your grip on control can be an effective way to manage situations, without the accompanying stress.
