Is there a limit of how many Nation Society memberships I should accept?

I have received three membership offers from different National Society. The first two I'm already inducted in as National Honor Society and Nation Society of Leadership and Success. Should I also join the National Society of High School Scholars?

I agree with Char's response. I'd also like to add a word of caution: Honor Societies shouldn't be requesting money from you. If you come across an organization that's unfamiliar to you, claiming to be an Honor Society with a membership fee, you should thoroughly investigate to ensure it is legitimate. Congratulations on being invited to multiple societies in recognition of your accomplishments.

Char’s Answer

Hi Bryanna,
I remember being a member of a couple of those organizations in high school. From what I remember, it's more of a recognition for your good grades and you don't have any other responsibilities as a member, so you can be a part of a many as possible. If you plan to go to college, listing these memberships looks good on your entrance application, so the more you have listed, the better it looks. These organizations offer scholarships too so you may have a chance of getting multiple scholarships!

Whichever ones you are invited to join, it sounds like it would be a good idea to accept all the invitations. But first, visit their websites to check for any special requirements or responsibilities.
