Great that you're asking for help, and you've definitely demonstrated taking initiative in applying for 20 jobs. Perhaps you want to broaden the type of job you are searching for and begin with what you might consider an unpleasant job while searching for something more interesting. You can do things like rake leaves, child care, wash cars, errands for neighbors, etc. and tell your Dad how much you've earned while looking for something perhaps more permanent. You might also fill part of your days before a job appears with volunteering activities where you will gain skills and possibly it will open up new ideas on what you might want to do.
From the little you might earn, you could offer to give your Dad a percentage of that as partial payment for his providing your room and board.
With every good wish!

Hi Eli,
Finding a new job can be tough. Sometimes, it simply takes time. You can't force someone to hire you. All you can do is make sure you meet each of the requirements for the job you are applying for (this is the most important thing).
Here's a suggestion. After you apply for the job, ask around to find out who the hiring manager is and get their contact information. Follow up by reaching out to them a week after you apply. Tell them who you are, when you applied, and how you would be a good match for the position. This can be through a phone call, voicemail, or email. If you can't reach them or don't get a response, try reaching out again the following week. If you still don't get a response, let it go and move on.
Keep doing this for every job you apply for, if possible. Keep in mind that a lot of people might apply for the same job, so you have to find a way to get noticed and stand out. Just try not to apply for the same position over and over, and don't show up at the job looking for them!
Another suggestion is to ask your friends or people you know if their job is hiring or could use extra help. Hiring managers like when they can hire someone who was referred to them. It makes their jobs easier.
Good luck!
