What are the ups and downs of becoming a Marine (or naval) officer at the US naval academy?

My mom was a naval officer through an NROTC program, but I’d prefer to do work in the field and remain physically active.

Work hard and persevere. Never give up and never let others see you at your weakest moments. Strive to be the best and give 150% all the time. If you truly want to become a Marine or Naval Officer you have to stay focused on your mission and stay on the right path. Don’t show signs of fear or frustration.
