High school was an amazing journey for me! The courses were quite manageable, and I relished the freedom to select the subjects that captured my interest each year. The variety of classes ensures that you can discover your natural strengths and passions. Of course, not every class will be your favorite, but that's just part of the experience. In essence, high school is the perfect time to stumble, take bold steps, and savor every moment! Remember, you're still youthful with a vast future stretching out before you.

Aisha’s Answer

Hello Analicia,

I'm delighted you asked this question! My high school years were absolutely fantastic. I was fortunate enough to attend one of the best academically rated schools in my city. Here are some of the things I focused on during that time:

1. Making new friends: High school is a great place to meet new people and make lifelong friends.
2. Building a relationship with my counselor: Your counselor can be a great resource for advice and guidance.
3. Persevering, even in tough times: It's important to keep going, even when things get challenging.
4. Exploring new interests: High school is a great time to try new things and discover what you love.
5. Staying true to myself: It's crucial to be yourself and not let others define who you are.
6. Understanding myself as a student: High school is a time to learn about your strengths and weaknesses as a student.

Also, I highly recommend getting involved in school activities or even community events whenever you can. This could mean getting a part-time job, playing a sport, joining a school club, volunteering, participating in a local community organization, or even helping out your family. These experiences can be incredibly rewarding and help shape who you are.

*Engage with an Academic Advisor. They can guide you towards courses that will equip you for life beyond high school, whether you're stepping into the professional world or heading to college.

*Involve your parents and an Academic Advisor in your class choices. They understand you deeply and can provide valuable insights to guide your academic path.

*Discover ways to connect with fellow students who share your interests. Participating in clubs and organizations at your school is a great way to do this.

Daniela’s Answer

High school was a really good time, I enjoyed it. My favorite subject was physics, it was challenging, and I think that kept me interested and pushed me to improve.
At this stage perceived myself as more independent, able to easily recognize what things and classes I liked most or was good at. Based on that I could concentrate additional efforts on the hardest classes, I used to plan my time to study first the complex subjects and last the simple ones, also was important to me to have free time for my friends.
I remember my art classes there was a list of options to choose from; painting, drawing, and dance, I picked painting, and some of my friends did too, we learned the basics, and then the class was divided into teams and assigned to create a project, my friends and I during the rest of the course painted a big kitchen scene including countless grapes, after some days we were bored of shaping grapes and more grapes; when we finally finished it, was beautiful although different styles of painting and had a lot of fun.
Besides the feeling you may have about what you like and the support of others you can achieve your subjects and concentrate on enjoying this period, it passes fast. So be focused on what activities you are good at and help your friends/classmates who need you, in the same way, you can look for support from others in the hardest fields.
