Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an entrance examination for students out of 12th to pursue a degree in engineering. JEE is conducted in two phases they are JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Usually around 10 lakh people appear for JEE Mains out of which around 1.5 lakh people are selected for JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced exam further narrows down the count to around 40000 people.
The JEE Mains Rank is usually considered for all NIT's, IIIT's, State and central government funded institutions.
The JEE Advanced Rank is usually considered for all IIT's, IISC, IISER, IIST, RGIPT etc.
