Siva, it great that you are looking to add value to society. Take these 4 steps to start with :
1. Consult with the career counselor of the college /university you have done PG from.
2. Get in touch with the local NGOs and start participating in the events they organize.
3. Create a Linkedin profile (if you do not have already) and connect with people over there.
4. Volunteer and keep building the network.
5. Attend webinars, find the folks in the same fraternity (Social work) on Linkedin and connect with them. They will guide you in the world of Social work.

Hi Siva! That's great that you're interested in social work.
I'd recommend finding someone in your community that does social work. Once you've done that, reach out to them to set up a meeting where you can get an understanding from them about how they got a job in that field.
This is called an informational interview. An informational interview is "an informal conversation with someone working in an area that interests you who will give you information and advice. It is an effective research tool in addition to reading books, exploring the Internet and examining job descriptions. It is not a job interview, and the objective is not to find job openings." Good luck!
