Sports management could be a good one, exercise. Science is very common in athletes as well. It’s all up to your personal preference on what you like.

Jaide! This is a similar thought I had when I was approaching graduation in HS. I'd recommend it's best to explore which part of sports gets you energized (operations/business, marketing, sponsorships, coaching, athletic training, etc.) and then go from there. I find a lot of benefit in subscribing to alerts for certain topics on Google as well to continue to test myself (is this what I like or will I like this?). Happy to continue this conversation and good luck!

Since sports are an entire industry there are many different career paths. Here are a few:

1) Working for a team or sports organization like the Olympics: Every team, league, and sports governing body has finance, marketing and operations teams similar to any business. By specializing in one of those tracks you will gain transferable skills which can be applied to the sports industry or others.
2) Sponsorships at companies that sponsor sports: Sports draws large audiences, so large companies dedicate some of their marketing dollars to sponsoring teams or facilitates. There are individuals within those large companies who manage the relationships with the sports organizations to ensure the company achieves a return on their marketing investment.
3) Marketing agencies: Some ad agencies specialize in sports marketing and will only work with sports brands or professional athletes.
4) Agents and business managers: Professional athletes have entire teams working behind the scenes to help build their brand and maximize their revenue opportunities.

Hello Jaide,

If you're a sports enthusiast with high aspirations, you might find your perfect match in a sports-related major! These areas of study, which include sports management, exercise science, and sports sciences, offer a diverse range of opportunities.

In sports management, you'll learn how to navigate both on-field and off-field professions, making it a versatile option.

For a more scientific approach, consider exercise science. This major dives into the study of human movement, also known as kinesiology, providing you with a deep understanding of how our bodies function during physical activity.

Alternatively, exercise physiology could be your calling. This field focuses on how our bodies respond and adapt to exercise.

If you're interested in injury prevention and recovery, consider athletic training or physical therapy. Both majors will equip you with the knowledge and skills to help athletes perform at their best and recover from injuries.

For those with a knack for communication, sports communication might be the path for you. This major will prepare you for a career in broadcasting, journalism, or public relations within the sports industry.

Sports management, as mentioned earlier, offers a broad perspective on the business and administrative side of sports.

If you're interested in overseeing fitness programs or facilities, sports and fitness administration could be the ideal choice.

Lastly, sports studies offer a comprehensive view of sports, including its historical, cultural, and social aspects.

Remember, each of these majors is a stepping stone towards a rewarding career in the sports industry. Choose the one that aligns best with your interests and ambitions. Good luck!
