Although we can't really count on fantasy books for real-world professions (sadly, dragons aren't part of our reality), there's a wealth of knowledge to be discovered in other genres. For instance, I've delved into numerous suspense novels recently, and they've introduced me to a variety of professions through their main and secondary characters - jobs I wouldn't have known existed otherwise. Looking back, I wish I had embraced reading sooner.
