Hello Jadon,

It's truly inspiring to see you're already considering your future and seeking ways to improve yourself. This is a clear indication that you're on a fantastic journey! There's often a wealth of excellent community colleges in your local area and state that are not only more accessible but also more affordable than private institutions. Remember, it's always a good idea to consult the financial aid department to understand what benefits you might be eligible for!

If you're still navigating through high school, it could be beneficial to explore the possibility of dual enrollment. This allows you to take college classes at a local institution while still in high school. Depending on your location and school district, you might find that the cost of these college courses is fully or partially covered by your school. It's certainly an opportunity worth investigating!

Lastly, consider participating in your college's Resident Assistant program. It's a wonderful way to immerse yourself in campus life while potentially having all or a portion of your housing and meal costs taken care of!

Hi Jadon,
There are totally options to attend college even if you come from a low-income household. For one, I would recommend filling out your FAFSA form. This will help you determine how much financial aide you qualify for and can give you a better idea of what colleges are financially in your reach. Another thing I would recommend is looking for need based scholarships. Many schools and private organizations offer need-based scholarships to support students and these scholarships are often very generous. They can be a great way to help you cover the cost of college. If you're not sure if college is the right choice for you, you can always take classes at a local community college at transferring to a larger college when you feel ready. The benefits of that is that community college classes are almost always signficantly cheaper, and by transferring your credits you can graduate faster thereby spending less money.

Best of luck to you!
