Hello Merissa,
Regardless of whether you're attending a traditional school or homeschooling, you're asking some excellent questions that your school counselor would be more than happy to help answer. They're there to guide you on your journey to college, if that's the path you choose to take. In the meantime, you can start exploring your passions. Are you fascinated by the sciences, or do you lean more towards business? Perhaps you're intrigued by engineering? Reflect on your past school years and identify the classes you enjoyed the most. Did art class spark joy in you? Or perhaps anatomy caught your interest? These clues can help you figure out which college might be the best fit for you.
Remember, it's perfectly fine to choose a college even if you're not sure about your major. Many colleges offer Exploratory Majors, which allow you to earn the basic credits you need to graduate without having to choose a specific major until it's absolutely necessary. When it comes to cost, staying in-state for college is usually more cost-effective, as out-of-state tuition can be quite expensive. There are also plenty of online options available to you.
While I recommend discussing these matters with a professional student counselor, I hope my advice has been helpful. Best of luck on your journey!

Getting into college can be stressful but one of the greatest experiences in life. To get in, you will need to do research on the college you are interested in by either calling or looking online at requirements. Once the requirements are met , you can apply and wait for a decision. You can choose your major by finding out what interests you. What is it that you want to do career wise ? Do not be discouraged if you can not choose a major in the very beginning. You can always change your major by speaking with an advisor who can assist you and making sure it is a good choice for you regarding credits and career path. You can find out how much tuition is by calling the college or looking online. If it is too expensive you can apply for scholarships , loans, or grants. You can finish early by taking more credits per semester.

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. Firstly, you have to think about what careers you have interest.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etcIf you interest in maths, would you like to be an engineer, accountant, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your parents, school counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college
After entering the college and you would like to change major, you can consider to with the professors and sit in the subjects you have interest first before finalizing the decision.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Fantastic inquiries! Start by identifying the career paths that pique your interest, then look into the various tests that can help pinpoint the perfect career for you, taking into account your personality and work style. Choose a broad-based major that opens doors in many fields rather than one with a narrow focus. Business administration or business management, for instance, offers flexibility for career shifts, transitions between companies, and plenty of learning prospects.
