Hi George - I choose to answer your question about a PT role for a retired relative because it resonates with me - my parent and their peers have left their jobs, but remain mentally active and want to contribute to the community and feel productive. Since you identified aviation as an area of focus, I'd consider looking into aviation museums that employ retired people as docents and guides. Also, there may be opportunities to engage online as a researcher and or photographer for aviation periodicals and fan magazines. I'd also look into small airports as they often have gift shops and stores that may have openings. There are also ham radio clubs and associations that may offer opportunities for your relative to engage with other people interested in aviation who are connected to people around the world. The main thing in my opinion is to continue to reach out to make connections and build relationships with people in your fields of interest so you do not feel lonely or isolated.

Hi George,

That is really cool you're helping out a relative!

For that person, as it relates to opporutunities in Aviation, I would encourage them to check career site for airlines in the area, or perhaps the career site for the local airport. Also depending what type of role your relative is looking for, research local executive airports. Hope this helps!
