You have asked two good questions, Omolara. I will answer one at a time. To learn about money, I would suggest starting by asking loved ones about their philosophy and habits. If you haven't already done so, I would suggest opening a bank account and adding job earnings and/or allowance so you can see how that works. Most communities have Junior Achievement chapters so you could see how a business works, if that is part of your interest. I have listed some resources below for learning more about managing your money. There are many more resources for teachers, but some of those materials might be helpful to you, also.
As for your second question, there are many tips, such as making sure you have a quiet space and the right supplies for completing your work, planning out larger projects so you don't have to rush completion, studying for tests over time as opposed to cramming at the end, and more. I would suggest asking your teachers for tips to do better in their classes. They would appreciate your commitment and are already familiar with your performance.
Good luck and happy holidays!
