What is the best way to find a job during college?

I've been living with my parents and getting by on a Pell Grant so far but, with a recent downshift in our living situation I need to bring in an income myself. I refuse to drop out of school now and would greatly prefer that my job is connected to my Early Childhood Education major.

Hi Amy, Like yourself, I had to work while at school, and had various part time jobs. Paul's suggestion above to look for work at childcare centers in the area, or tutoring middle school/high school students that need a little extra help is excellent advice. The public schools in my area offer after school programs for grades K-5, and specifically look for people like yourself, who are pursuing degrees in early childhood education. You could explore whether this is available in your neck of the woods by contacting your local board of education. Another thought would be to register on child care sites, like care.com, for a part time nanny or baby sitting position. Many of my friends who are mothers have used services like these for extra help . Good luck in your pursuit.

Hi Amy! Are there child care places or private schools near you that would love to have a caring and helping hand. Tutoring jr high or high school students in languages, sciences or math subjects can keep you busy, if you are really sharp in those subject areas, . Snag a job offers p/t job openings. Starbucks is always a possibility If you have a car Uber is a possibility. Temp employment agencies are an option. Fed ex and UPS alway are in need of P/t people, Check out your school office or student career center to see if they need help or have ideas where to start. The Best! :-)
